Captain Planet Rebirth Episode 2: Rough Start PT 2

Episode 2: Rough Start Part 2

(Porkaloin’s Machine. August 6th, 11:38)

“The Machine continued to move, as it moved forward past the spike as it got out a drill like device and went to a patch of ground in the middle of the village as the people left quickly as the drill began to dig into the ground.

Inside, however, a fight was going on as Wheeler and Linka fought against the guards, using their combined powers of fire and wind to knock away the goons around them, as Linka chuckles. “Zis is surprisingly fun.”

“Trust me, I know.” Wheeler smirked as he sent a blast of fire at a few guys and blasted the ceiling next. “Man, how come the bad guys always hire the cheap henchmen? These guys are too easy.”

“I gez Mizter Porkaloin paid to much money on dis contraption.” Linka said as she saw a fuse box and got an idea. “Hmm…maybe I could, as yew say, ‘throw a monkay wrench’ into it.”

Wheeler saw the fuse box and smirks. “I like the way you think, babe.” He said with a smirk as he began to cut into the fuse box’s front to cut through it, but he heard a yell of pain as he turned and saw Linka hit the ground as a man smacked him in the face, knocking Wheeler down.

(Meanwhile, with the others)

Kwame, Gi and Ma-Ti continued down the halls as Ma-Ti put his hand on his head and concentrated. “It’s this way, come on.” He said as the three ran down the halls, avoiding detection by hiding behind corners.

“Hmm…we should be close.” Gi said as she smelled something and coughed. “Uwa, what is that smell?”

Kwame coughed a bit as he covered is nose as well. “We must be close to the engine…I believe that’s gasoline being burned.”

“Then we follow that scent. Come on.” Ma-Ti said as the three ran towards the smell as Gi looked and saw pipes all over.

“Hmm…water, it must be used to keep the engines cooled in the Amazon heat.” Gi said as she got an idea. “Ok, if I see anything coming our way, I’ll wash it up.”

“Good idea.” Ma-ti said with a nod as he puts his hand on his head and concentrates. ‘Wheeler, Linka, we are close to the Engine…’ He heard nothing as he grew concerned. ‘Wheeler! Linka!’ he yelled in his head as his eyes widen.

“What is it, Ma-Ti?” Kwame asked, confused as they heard chuckling behind them as Porkaloin walked up, clapping his hands a bit.

“heh, I gotta admit kids, you got guts. Too bad they won’t be of much use to you where you’re going.” Porkaloin said with a scowl as Kwame glares at him while Gi glared as well, Ma-ti gulping a bit in nervousness at the size of the man as he got closer.

‘He’s even bigger close up’ Ma-Ti thought, remembering he only got a glimpse of him earlier as Porkaloin smirked as he walked over the three teens.

“So…what am I gonna do with you kids?” he asked, crossing his arms as Kwame glared at him.

“You do know I can sink this entire thing into the ground, right?” Kwame warned, as Porkaloin laughed at this as he crossed his arms.

“If you could have done that, you would have already. I know you got superpowers, kid. I know all five of you do. Next time you get super powers, don’t show them off in a world where anything can be put online.” Porkaloin pointed out as he smirks down at Kwame. “So what are you, the ringleader of this little superhero team?”

“Not officially the leader, but everyone seems to see me as one.” Kwame said, giving him a glare as Porkaloin looks at Gi and Ma-Ti

“What does that make you two? The ditz and the tangalong?” Porkaloin asked as the two just glared at this as he laughed at them. “Seriously, out of the five of you, only two of you had any actual powers here and they’re out cold.”

“What did you do to Wheeler and Linka, you Yaro.” Gi asked in anger as Porkaloin scowled.

“…OK, I don’t know what you said, but I’ll take that as an insult.” Porkaloin said as he cracked his knuckles as he threw his fist down, Kwame and the others dodging his fist as Kwame growled.

“YAH!” Kwame threw a punch at the taller man’s stomach, but yelled out in pain when it felt like he just punched a wall. ‘What is this man made of? Iron?’ he thought as he scowled at the larger man who laughed as he picks him up and tosses him into the other two, making the three hit the ground with a grunt.

“Heh…lights out, kids.” Porkaloin smirked as he kicked the three in the head each, knocking them out from the hits, their vision dimming as they passed out.

(Later…14:23)

“Ugh…” the five groaned as they found themselves outside, but tied up on the ground as their hands were bound behind them.

“So, you’re awake, eh?” asked a voice as Rigger looked at them with a smirk. “Sorry kids, but we’re almost done with what we came to get.”

The five saw the drill going into the earth as it finally cut through the earth enough as a strange glow came out as Rigger came over and got it out. “There we are…”

“…What is that?” asked Kwame, confused as their rings glowed.

'Guys, that's one of the Chaos Stones. There were created by a being of pure evil…and were buried for a reason.' Captain Planet told them.

‘And that would be…?’ Kwame asked him before he saw violet light come out of the gem and hit the machine, causing it to glow a bit. “Oh…It does that..”

The machine suddenly ejected all of the workers inside as they all looked up in fear as they saw the machine began to contort and change shape.

‘It turns something into a force of destruction. You might want to get out of your binds now. I hope you don’t mind some minor burns.” Said the Captain.

“Vait, Vhat?” asked Linka as Wheeler got the idea and smirked as he concentrated.

“…Wheeler, what are you-OW!” the other four yelled out in pain as their ropes were burned via Wheeler’s fire powers. The others rubbed their wrists.

“Next time, give a warning.” Kwame said as the five turned to see the machine started to grow and become more distorted as the metal began to twist and turn as the gem gained a copy in the chest of the strange machine as it began to grow out gem-like growths on it’s right arm, it’s legs and the top grew out a strange head made of contorted metal.

“Whoa…” Rigger said in shock as he looked at the gem in his hands as he looks at his boss, who shrugs at this.

“OK, dat iz a disterbing piece of machinery…” said Linka as she nods to the others, who nod back.

“Ma-Ti, tell the villagers to leave and get to safety. We’ll keep it distracted until they get out of here. Then we can call the captain.” Kwame ordered as Ma-Ti nods as he went to the villagers. “Alright team, lets take him on!”

Linka’s eyes glowed white as she took off into the air and sent out a burst of wind at it as she says “Eat dis!” as it was pushed back faintly, but the creature growled as it fired energy beams at her from it’s crystal arm, but she flew out of the way.

“Hey Mecha-head! Eat this!” said Wheeler as he fires a blast of fire at the large machine as it didn’t even look phased at this. “Right…metal, got it.”

“I think we can work with that!” Said Gi as she concentrated as a near by water jugs suddenly came to life as water flowed around her as her eyes glowed blue. “make a specific spot heated up and I’ll use the water to cool it, it’ll become brittle.”

“Alright, babe.” Said Wheeler with a nod as he looks and sees his leg and smirks. “Lets see it stand on one leg!” AS he fired at the knee area, making it look at them with annoyance as the spot glowed red hot as Gi sent the water right at the spot, making steam escape from the spot.

“Kwame! Linka! It has a weak spot!” Said Gi as the two nod and glare at it.

“Eat this!” Kwame yelled out as he sent out a barrage of stones at the large creature as Linka fired burst of wind to speed up the stones, making them spin as they embedded in the now brittle metal causing cracks in it as it roared out in pain.

“Alright! Score one for the good guys!” said Wheeler with a smirk as he saw the creature glare angrily at them. “…Ah crap…”

“It looks mad!” said Gi nervously as it open it’s mouth and powered up an energy attack, as Ma-Ti came back.

“Everyone, get down!” Kwame yelled as everyone jumped to the ground as they narrowly got out of the way of the energy blast as the large beast roared and glared down at them.

“OK, I think Cap would be a big help here…” said Wheeler.

“Agreed. Let our powers combine!” Said Kwame.

“huh?” Boragard asked as he got up and saw the five stand up.

“EARTH!” Kwame yelled as his eyes glowed green as he fired a blast of green energy out of his ring.

“FIRE!” Wheeler said as his eyes glowed orange as red energy came out of his ring.

“WIND!” Linka yelled as her eyes glowed gray and sent out a blast of white energy out as Gi put her ring out.

“WATER!” Gi’s eyes glowed blue as blue energy came out of her ring.

“HEART!” Ma-Ti yelled as his eyes glowed yellow while yellow energy flowed out of his ring as the energy formed into an orb of orange energy as Captain Planet formed.

“With your powers combined…I AM CAPTAIN PLANET!” Planet said as he glared at the machine. “Alright big ugly, lets rumble.” He flew off as he sent a powerful punch at it’s face, making it turn to the side as it growled.

“What in the…?” Boragard asked, shocked while the monster fired a blast of energy at Captain Planet, who grunted as he was sent flying back a bit.

“Ugh…” Planet groaned as he felt the energy affecting him but the sun rays made his glow come back to normal. He smirked as he says “Alright freak show…time for me to roast you!” He puts his hands together as an energy sphere formed in his hands as fiery aura came in the form of an air sphere with yellow energy in the middle.

The creature roared as it powered up a blast and fired a beam of energy as Captain Planet fired his own burst of energy at the monsters, the two blasts colliding.

“Great job, Cap!” said Wheeler with a smirk as he heard something and turned to see Boragard and Rigger heading to a helicopter with the gem as they climbed up and flew off.

“Have fun, kids!” Boragard laughed as they climbed up. “Hope to do business with you again…not.” He laughed darkly at this as the two left, as the machine and Cap kept the fight up.

“Come on, Captain! Finish that monztrozity off!” Linka yelled as the other four Planeteers began to cheer him on as Cap smirked.

Captain Planet concentrated as his gem stone in his chest glowed brightly as he yells out as he adds a burst of flames as the twisting wind of fire went faster and wentn through the blast and went through the machine’s head.

The machine whirled as it was about to fall forward, but Planet flew down and stopped it before it could land. “That would have been messy. I’ll take care of this scrap heap. Be right back. Help the locals while I’m away.” The others nod as he flew off while the villagers came back as the five began to help with repairs.

(With Captain Planet)

Captain Planet flew with the machine as he threw into the sky and spun around and threw the machine high into the sky as it began to fall apart as the energy began to break it down. “Hmm…where would Porkaloin discover about those gems stones though…”

“Hmmhmhmmhmhmm…yes, that is a real mystery, isn’t it?” asked a voice as Captain Planet turned and glares. In front of him was a shadowy afterimage of someone who was glowing with violet energy and had bright blue eyes.

“Zant…” Captain Planet growled as he saw the shadowy being. “How did you survive?” He asked as Zant just chuckled.

“Same as you, I suppose…when our physical bodies were destroyed, we became energy. But while you are a spirit of balance…I am a spirit of Chaos.” Zant laughed darkly as Captain Planet glares. “And we all know Chaos never dies, Gis.”

“So you’re behind all of this? You activated the gem the moment it was unearthed, didn’t you?” Planet said as Zant flew around him.

“Oh you know me so well, Planet…but know this: I can take you and your pathetic mistress down no problem…but first, I need the right materials to do so…and with that test, I know now that I have to deal with you and those pesky brats.” Zant said as Planet growls.

“Do not try and treaten me, Zant. I beat you once and I can beat you again.” Captain Planet warned as Zant just laughs.

“I’d like to see you try…goodbye, Planet…and have a nice day.” Zant laugh fills the sky as he vanished in smoke as Planet scowled before he flew back down.

(Back at the village)

Captain Planet lands in the village as he saw the group was helping with the repairs of the village. Planet looked and smiled at the sight of Ma-Ti and Gi playing with some of the children as Kwame was helping one of the women with some plants to bring inside.

“Hey Cap, you OK?” Wheeler asked him, his sunglasses off as Planet just sighs.

“Just thinking, that’s all Wheeler.” Planet said as he smiled at the sight before him. “I haven’t seen much since I was put in the rings, so it’s nice to be able to see how much the world has changed.”

“Peh, you wouldn’t be too happy with New York.” Wheeler joked as Planet thought about it.

“Eh, I saw some of it from your ring, so it can’t be that bad.” Planet shrugs as the other Planeteers turned to him. “Alright team, we did good today. But after tonight, we might need to head back to the Island.”

“Alright Captain, we shall rest with the villagers.” Gi said with a small bow as he returned it.

“Goodnight team, and remember…the Power is yours!” Planet turned into energy as he flew back into the rings.

“alright team, lets go to bed.” Kwame said as the others nod and headed towards the villagers, who welcomed them with happiness as they saved their lives.

Little did they know, however, someone was watching with wide eyes before he left.

(A few days later…)

(Hope Island, August 9th, 12:23)

Wheeler was heading in from the portal that lead from his home as he says “Yo guys, look what I got!” He threw down a newspaper on a table as Linka looked at it curiously.

On the front read ‘Heroes Save Village from Monster Attack: The five Super-Powered Teens from around the world are now a hero team?’

“We made the papers, guys! We’re famous!” Wheeler said with a smirk as Linka picked it up and adjusted her glasses to read it better.

“Bozhe moy, you’re right. They are talking aboot az.” Linka said with a frown. “But you do realize that thiz does have problems, yes?”

“She is right, Wheeler. We could be targeted by dangerous people.” Ma-ti said as Wheeler did a hand wave.

“Oh come on, guys. We got super powers. Besides, we’re a five Man band here!” said Wheeler with a smirk.

“…We do not have instruments.” Kwame said, unfamiliar with the terms he was using.

“Nah, I mean we’re a five man team. You’re the cool-headed leader, I’m the ever-awesome battler, Linka is the hot brainiac, Gi is the sensitive pilot and Ma-Ti is the heart of the group.” Wheeler said as Ma-Ti looked confused at that. “By that, I mean you’re the guy who keeps the whole team together like glue.”

‘He’s talking about how your powers work: without Ma-Ti’s powers, you wouldn’t be able to fully use your powers or summon me. Without Heart, I wouldn’t be able to make a body.’ Planet said in their minds.

Linka nods as she asks “So…vhat now?”

“We go back home and wait for our next meeting.” Kwame said calmly. “We must be vigilant however. If you have any trouble in the area you live in, we will have to be able to call each other if it is too much for just one of us. Especially if there are more of those gems still hidden.”

“Yez, and we need to find de other gemz before anyone else does.” Linka said as Wheeler smirked.

“Alright! Lets get ready for next time, team.” Wheeler said with a smirk as the others nod as they began to talk to each other as Gaia looked at them with a small smile on her face before walking off.

‘They seem to be adjusting well…but I hope they will be enough to make sure those threatening the life on this planet can deal with it…like the prophecy foretold…’ She thought as she went to a cave and looked up, seeing a familiar mark on the wall…the insignia on Captain Planet’s chest with five empty spots, from which the rings were from.

“Though I am hopeful that…HE…won’t return.” She said to herself as she sighs. “As Planet is able to get a physical form from those children, he could also be able to if he has enough chaotic energy.” She looks to the sky as she says “Zeus, if you will listen to me…make sure these children are safe…” As she looked on at the afternoon sun, a sad look on her face.
